He was born in Fort Worth, TX and lived in San Antonio, TX before relocating to North Carolina where he worked for the American Red Cross Blood Collections in Charlotte NC.
Bill proudly served in the U. S. Army and the U. S. Navy in Vietnam.
He was predeceased by his parents Jimmy and Mary Jo Ward, and grandmother Mary Lois Bayliss and sister Becky Ward.
William is survived by his wife, Laura Lee Ward. He is also survived by three children, William Travis, Clancy, and daughter Michelle; two brothers, Nathan Ward of NC, Anthony Ward of TX, and sister Cynthia Ward, and 4 grandchildren.
The funeral service will be private.
