Yuk Ying Chiu was born on July 12, 1926 in Fuzhou, China. She had lived in New Jersey since 1969 and moved to Charlotte, NC in 1987.
Yuk had 8 children: sons Sin Tak and Michael of NC, Sonny of NJ; daughters Lai Kuen and Oi Yuk of New York, Susanna, Helen and Po of NJ. She had 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for Yuk will be held Friday, June 27, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service Inc., 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210.
A Funeral will occur Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. A committal service will occur Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Memory, 5676 Old Walkertown Rd., Walkertown, NC 27051.
