Alec Bowen

Alec Ray Bowen Sr., 68 of Ruckersville, VA passed away on April 14 2023 after a long courageous battle

with cancer. He was born on November 6, 1954 in Elkton, MD to the late James T. Bowen, Sr and

Marietta Meeks Bowen.

He was the owner and operator of Bowen and Son Trucking, LLC. He also proudly served in the United

States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother John Slough and his grandson Anthony Bowen.

He is survived by a daughter Tina Bowen Svoboda and a son Alec R. Bowen Jr. and special daughter

in-law Angie Bowen. Special Thank you to Angie for being there everyday and every step of the way taking care of Alec through his illness.

Also surviving are brothers James T. Bowen Jr , Howard Slough, Jim Bowen and wife Marsha. Sisters

Dorothy Wichael, Brenda Moneymaker, Linda Hardiman and her husband Howard and Betty Grant

and her husband Richard Grandchildren Amber Bishop, Savanna Bowen, EJ Bishop, Austin Bowen, Bryson Bowen, and Isabelle Svoboda.

Great grandchildren Abigael Bishop, Madisyn Franco-Deane, Avery Franco-Deane and Kensley

Bishop.

He leaves behind many nephews and loving nieces.

He had a special love for his two dogs Nyla and Ellie

Mae.

His extended family are Katelynn Miller, Brock Peery, Josey Groah, Josefine Van Beek, Waylond Allen, and Taylor Dean.

Friends and family will be received on Friday April 21st from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Teague Funeral Home.

Services will be held Saturday April 22nd at 10:00am at Teague Funeral Home followed by a graveside at

Holly Memorial at 11:00am.
