

Anna Cooke Dillon, 78, recently of Palmyra, died peacefully in her sleep Saturday August 23rd,2014 at her residence. Born July 6 1936 in Wikel, Monroe County, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Weaver and Glenna Cooke and was preceded in death by her sister Janice. She was the beloved wife of Elwood Symns Dillon for 58 wonderful years. Anna was a retired registered nurse and was the Valedictorian of the 1956 Berea College School of Nursing. She was a loving “Air Force Wife”, mother, grandmother and a friend to all. She will be truly missed. Anna is survived by her husband “Woody”, her step mother Beatrice Moore Cooke of Malabar Florida, two sons Steven L. Dillon and his wife Angela of Palmyra, Jeffrey P. Dillon , his wife Kim and her son Koby of Richmond, one brother Leslie Cooke and his wife Marsha of Melbourne Florida, four special grandchildren Paul Dillon, Neil Dillon, Laura Dillon Rogers and Melissa Dillon and two great grandchildren Tallulah Rogers and Ronan Joyce along with several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Wednesday August 27, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Teague Funeral Home. Interment will be in Culpeper National Cemetery.
