Brenda Mae Brown

Brenda native to Charlottesville, Virginia was born on February 16, 1949 to the late Suel Max Oliver Jr. and Maxine E. Stogdale.

Brenda never met a stranger as she smiled and talked with everyone she came in contact with. Her loving caring personality earned her many special friendships that she truly cherished. When you mention her name she will be remembered as such a "sweet lady." Brenda was the rock of her family and it was important to her to check on everyone and make sure we all were okay. Whenever you talked with her you best believe she will be talking about her grandson, her Sophia and her little doggie. She spent her free time giving to others as a Volunteer at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. She was a proud member First Baptist Church on Park Street.

Brenda is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Roger Lee Brown and their daughter, Tina Ann Brown; grandson, Corey Michael McCluney and great granddaughter, Sophia Marie McCluney; her sister, Theresa Jane Brown and her husband, Marvin Brown of Culpeper; her brother, Michael Lawrence Oliver and his wife, Mary Jane Oliver of Ruckersville. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4pm - 6pm on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Rd. Charlottesville, VA 22903. Funeral will be held at 11am on Monday, July 11, 2022 in the Chapel at Teague Funeral Home, to be officiated by Pastor Ed Leake. Interment to follow at Monticello Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Brenda's honor to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer's Association.
