Caleb Lee Strickler Jr.

Caleb was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on August 19, 2021 to Caleb Lee Strickler, Sr. and Kristie Barbour. Chunka was the happiest, most beautiful and joyful child. He loved to eat, play outside, dance, and laugh. He was into everything as little boy's often are— keeping us on our toes at all times.

Caleb is preceded in death by his grandpa Bruce William Strickler. Although they never met earth side, our hearts swell with joy knowing that they got to meet in heaven as we picture Chunka laughing on his grandpa’s lap.

Caleb is survived by his favorite person, his Daddy, Caleb Lee Strickler, Sr.; his comfort and protector, his Mama, Kristie Barbour; Big Brothers Tical Brackett and Gunnar Strickler; Big Sisters Caylee Strickler and Laveah Strickler; his Grandma Carolyn Barbour; his Grandma Margie Shifflet and Husband David Shifflet; his Grandpa Chris and Wife Nancy; his Yuntie (aunt) Crystal Barbour; Big Cousin Malik Frye; his Godmother/Big Cousin Keturah Barbour; Special Friends Chat and Dallas Hite; and a plethora of family members that include cousins, aunts, uncles, and great grandparents.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 6pm-8pm at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Rd. Charlottesville, VA 22903. A Celebration of Caleb's Beautiful Life will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 11am in the Chapel at Teague Funeral Home. Following the Celebration of life, there will be a non-formal reception hosted by the family, at the Sportsman Club in Crozet, Virginia. Our Chunka hated clothes and could be seen sporting nothing but a diaper at times, so we ask that you come as you are in casual attire.
