Elvin L Taylor

Elvin Lee Taylor, 83, of Dyke, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 7th, 2020. Elvin was born on March 29th, 1937, to the late Roy and Lila Taylor. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to all. His helping hand and humorous personality will be greatly missed by all that knew him. His trademark whistle will be remembered by all his family. In addition to his parents, Elvin was preceded in death by his dear wife Martha Taylor; brothers Eugene Taylor, Roy (Winkey) Taylor; and sisters Bonnie Gill, Darlene Herndon, and Judy Houchens. Elvin is survived by his sisters Levy (Polly) Wood, Ella Mae Morris, Eunice Fisher, Ivy Mae Mouberry, Margie Pitsenbarger, Liz Shifflett, and Debra Kay Henshaw; son Wayne Taylor and wife Billie; daughter Rebecca Sandridge; five grandchildren: Gregory Sandridge and Tori Rosalez, Tiffany Sandridge, Chelsea Sandridge, Madelyn Taylor and husband David, Patrick Taylor; great-grandchildren: Kholton Sandridge, Noah Sandridge, Rian Sandridge, Benjamin Taylor and Evelyn Taylor. Special thanks to the family members that were there for Elvin during his life and was able to share those silly jokes he would crack, and who enjoyed his kind and generous heart he had. May his beautiful soul rest in Heaven's paradise, and he finally be reunited with his beautiful late wife Martha that he loved so dearly. He will surely be missed by all.
