Frankie Russell Brooks, 73, of Charlottesville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 29, 1943, to the late Lewis and Arlene Miller Brooks, and he was the beloved husband of Dottie Brooks for 27 years.In addition to his wife, Frankie is survived by his brother, Leon Brooks; his two daughters, Carla and Kim; his two grandsons, David and Dylan; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.A funeral service will be conducted at Rockfish Presbyterian Church in Nellysford, Va. at 1p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, with burial to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, September 13, 2016,from 6 till 8 p.m.at Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frankie's honor to The Salvation Army of Charlottesville or the Martha Jefferson Hospital Cancer Care Center.
