
Gladys was born on November 23, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Morris; and her parents, Edna and Marco Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her sons, James Marco Morris, Charles Edward Morris, Randy Lee Morris; her daughters, Elizabeth Ann Brown and Linda Sue Perkins; her son-in-law, Clarence Brown; and her brother James Edward Thomas.
Gladys is survived by her sons, Ernest Morris, Jr. and Roger Lee Morris; her daughter, Betty Jean Phillips; and her sisters, Anna Belle McDaniel, Catherine "Kitty" Fisher, Rosie Lillard, Lorena Gibson, and Lucille Goodson. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Gladys was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was loved by her children, her sisters and her extended family. She loved singing and cooking. She enjoyed all the visits and phone calls from her family. That would always put a smile on her face and make her the happiest.
This beautiful, sweet, loving and feisty lady will be missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11:00 am at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Free Union, Virginia.
