Hazel, also known as Granny by family and friends, was born on August 15, 1930 to the late Leroy Patterson and Cora Martin Patterson.
In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel P. Harlow, Jr., and her daughter, Velma Lamb.
Hazel is survived by her son, Nathan Harlow III and wife, Judi; son-in-law, Hollis Tommy Lamb; and 5 grandchildren: JonMichael Harlow, Sean Patrick Harlow, Ryan Harlow, Nathaniel Lamb, and Kathleen Lamb; Barbara Goin, her niece who love her dearly and whom she loved like a daughter; along with numerous nephews, cousins and other extended family.
She will be missed by all who knew her as she brought happiness to so many. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Piedmont for helping care for Hazel.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 11am, at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville.
