He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mildred Gibson of North Garden.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Pam, his son Jason, daughter Jennifer and her husband Mike Olson, 3 granddaughters Kayla and her husband Zach Waters, Kaysi and Katey Olson, 1 great granddaughter Berkley, an expected great grandchild, and brother Gary and his wife Corina Gibson.
A visitation for James will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Rd, Charlottesville, Virginia 22903. A graveside service will occur Friday, May 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Holly Memorial Gardens, 3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, Virginia 22911.
