Joyce B. Shifflett, 94, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025. She is preceeded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, James B. Shifflett. She is survived by their two daughters, Patricia Faulknier (John) and Linda Van Petten. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Joyce was a proud wife, mother and Maw Maw. In her earlier years she worked as a secretary for the Michie Company and State farm. Later she went to work for Tuppeware in their warehouse before retiring to watch their Grandchildren.
All are welcome to join the family as they lay Joyce to rest @ 11: 00 am, Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Holly Memorial Gardens.
She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Cornell 2 at Sentara Martha Jefferson for the compassionate care they provided during her stay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joyce’s honor to the Hospice of the Piedmont or The Parkinson’s Foundation.
