She was born December 17, 1919 in Devonshire England to the late Frank W.B. Edwards and Annie (Trickey) Edwards. During WWII she was drafted into the British Army where she was assigned to the Motor Pool as a driver. This is where she met and later married a United States Army Captain, Raymond S. Webster. They were married for 58 years up to his death in 2003. He landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day with V Corps and fought through to Poland. She was among 200,000 war brides brought back to the United States after the war.
Nancie was an avid horsewoman all her life. Growing up, she rode horses in England. While the family was stationed in Istanbul, Turkey for three years, she rode almost every day at an Equestrian Training Center.

Nancie was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Raymond S. Webster, and her brother, Frank Edwards.
