December 29, 2018 – April 7, 2023
Sabrina brought joy everywhere she went. She was full of love and light and is so terribly missed. But instead of focusing on our grief and heartbreak, we’d instead like to remember her beautiful life. Sabrina loved her family. She frequently would tell us “I love you” unprompted, just because she wanted us to hear it. She gave the best hugs and ran to us with such excitement when we picked her up from school. She loved and admired her brother Wyatt and wanted to do everything he did, exactly how he did it. She loved her grandparents – her halmae, baba, granny, and greaty. She was always thrilled when they came to visit or when they called. She loved playing with them and giving them her signature hugs. She loved our dog Charlie and made sure to check on him throughout the day. If she was told he’d had enough treats, she would stubbornly disagree and make sure he got at least one more. She loved to drink kefir, which she called “sogurt,” and could drink 2 liters a day. She loved salads – how many 4 year olds love salads? But she really did. She also loved ice cream, milk shakes, cookies, Cheetos, chocolate, and gatorade. She loved her school and her teachers and her friends. She gave them the biggest hugs at the end of the day and would talk about them all weekend. She loved to paint and draw and create. She loved animals and got so excited to see dogs, ducks, turtles, rabbits, squirrels, and birds.
She was such a good helper. She loved to do the dishes without mommy’s interference. She loved to make Charlie’s dinner every night and knew exactly how many of his pills and supplements to give him (he’s an old man, after all). She loved to do things on her own – she prided herself on her independence. But she also loved to cuddle and be near her loved ones. She loved to sleep next to her mommy and daddy and would find us every night. She loved to play outside on swings and slides. She loved to play sports – she was getting good at basketball and tee ball! She loved to run as fast as she could. She loved to ride roller coasters – her favorite was the Grover Coaster at Busch Gardens. She loved to choose her own outfits and usually went for the twirly dresses, the dresses with pockets, or her princess nightgowns. She loved to have her nails painted in rainbow colors. She loved unicorns and mermaids and random treasures that she’d find. She was pure magic and happiness and radiance and we love her so much. The loss of her hugs and exuberance and time is devastating, but we are infinitely grateful for the 4 years and 3 months we had with her. We will cherish every single memory.
With never-ending love, Jenny, Allan, and Wyatt
