

William Chambers Tyler IV of Crozet, VA died on March 28th, 2026. He is survived by his former wife Karren Shelton Tyler of Strongsville, Ohio. Also, he is survived by his sister Betsy Ames Griggs of Houston, TX and Ella Jackson of Albemarle County. In addition, he is survived by his daughter Cameron Mercedes Moores, her husband Peter and grandsons Madison and Tyler. He is preceded in death by his sister Susanne Gordon Tyler of Crozet, VA and his brother David Marston Tyler of Crozet, VA.
Mr. Tyler is the son of Suzzane Smith McGuire of Greenwood, VA and William Chambers Tyler of Louisville, KY. He is the grandson of Ella Williams and James Gordon Smith of Greenwood.
He graduated from Woodberry Forrest School, where he excelled in academic and athletics. Next, he graduated from the University of Virginia in the School of Architecture for city planning and attended the Graduate School of Architecture for landscape architecture.
Mr. Tyler worked for Parham construction for 24 years.
He adored the people and landscape of Highland county as well as his native Albemarle county. He was an avid gardener and a lover of fine art.
A Celebration of Life will be held April 24, 2026 at 11AM in the Courtyard of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Greenwood, VA.
