He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Garver. He is survived by his mother, Lorena Garver, his brother, Gaynes Garver, his sister, Rebecca Garver, and her dogs, Teal and Isabel, and many family members and friends.

Wilson dealt with many physical issues his entire lifetime, but he never let them slow him down. He lived his life to the fullest and was always ready to go out for a meal, visit with family and friends, and share a smile.
His family would like to thank Wilson’s doctors and nurses at the UVa Medical Center, especially Dr. Joel Schectman, Dr. Angela Taylor, the Device Clinic, and his ASL interpreter, Liz Cook, for their skillful and compassionate care for many years.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Jefferson Park Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Monday, May 18, 2015 at Teague Funeral Home.
