Brock Anthony Workman

Brock was born on May 18, 1976, to Lawrence and Catherine (Caufield) Workman of Chatham, IL. He has two daughters, Tessa (Sebastian) Szabo of Belleville, IL and Myah Workman of Springfield, IL; one granddaughter, Louise; and five brothers and sisters, Charish Gibson (Jason Simpson) of Chatham, Jassen Workman of Chatham, Derrick Workman of Chatham, Luccus and Brandy (Andrews) Workman of Wilmington, NC and Charity Workman (Rob Matthiesen) of Chatham.

Brock proudly owned and operated Workman Excavation, Inc. from 2003 to present. Brock took pride in being a jack of all trades; from repairing his own work equipment to building new structures to compliment his home. Due to his unpredictable sense of humor, you could always count on Brock to share laughs with, and he never believed in having “too much” steak. He loved a night in on the recliner as much as a night out spending time with close friends and family. Brock’s love for pets, livestock and agriculture was a deep-rooted family tradition that will continue into the future. Brock also loved to travel, camp, and ride his side by side. A few of his most recent ATV & traveling trips included the Wisconsin Cheese Trail, Black River Forest in WI, Land Between the Lakes in KY, Wind Rock in TN, Vegas, and New Orleans.

Brock leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Clarence & Laverne Caufield, his mother, two sisters, three brothers, two daughters, and one granddaughter. He also leaves behind his six nieces and nephews (Ella, Heaven, Braiden, Abigail, Riley and Blake) along with many other family members and friends throughout the Chatham, Loami and New Berlin areas.

Brock was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Alice (Sprinkle) Workman; his uncles, Mark & Glen Allen Workman; and his father, Lawrence Workman.

A private graveside service will be held at Campbell Cemetery in Loami, IL to lay Brock to rest and reunite him with the loved ones we have already lost.
