Robert W. Beezley

Robert was born on March 28, 1945, in Hannibal, MO, the son of Albert C. and Virginia B. (Winn) Beezley. He married Lela Marlene Burger on May 16, 1968, in Hannibal, MO.

He graduated from Hannibal High School in 1963. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart. Following his time in the military, he worked as an electrician. Robert was a Freemason, part of Lodge #500, Scottish Rite, and the Shrine. He enjoyed baseball and was an avid Cardinals fan.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Karen Jaynes; and niece, Didi Muir.

He is survived by his daughters, Janene A. (Aaron) Bennett of Rochester and Wendi N. (Mike) Wallner of Springfield; grandchildren, Jacob (Chrissy) Walter, and Connor and Ryan Bennett; great-grandchildren, Beau and Lainey Walter; niece, Dana Ingram; nephew, Jeff (Linda) Jaynes; as well as many other loved great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Camp Butler National Cemetery, 5063 Camp Butler Road, Springfield, with military honors.
