
John Philip Borzilleri passed away in his Chatham home on April 15, 2015. He was born to Sarah and Peter Borzilleri of Oyster Bay Long Island, where he spent his formative years. He was one of 6 sibilings, 4 brothers and one sister. He was predeceased by his brother Peter of Venice Florida and Chatham Mass, Jimmy of Tanglewood Hills,NY and Paul of Chatham MA. He is survived by his brother Richard of Ponte Vedra Florida and sister Nina of Ft. Lauderdale Florida. He was married to Betty Merrill of Sea Cliff NY and is the father of Leslie Borzilleri Cullinan of Fairfield CT and John Merrill Borzilleri of Shelton CT. Father in law to Patrick Cullinan and Kelly Enright Borzilleri. His grandchildren include, Molly, Michael, Matthew and Maggie Cullinan and Anna and Katherine Borzilleri. He served in WWII for the United States Marines. He graduated from Hofstra University and was employed by Moore Business Forms for 35 years. John was an avid woodworker,
golfer, loyal friend, parishioner of Holy Redeemer, opera enthusiast, gardener and political pundit in his own right, for the Republican party. He was also an honorary alumnus of the University of Notre Dame where his beloved Irish football team was his obsession in the fall season as was his membership to the Father Sorin Society. He is survived by his wife Betty, brother Richard, sister Nina, children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom he loved and admired greatly. A memorial mass will be held on July 18 at 11:00am at the the Holy Redeemer Church in Chatham, where John's family remain active parishioners.
