Michael Charles Scanzillo

He was born on January 5, 1951 in Boston, MA. He was the son of the late Anthony T. and Evelyn A. (Maynes) Scanzillo. He was a graduate of Xaverian Brothers High School, Westwood, MA in 1968 and later graduated from Clarkson College of Technology in Potsdam, NY in 1973 with a degree in industrial engineering. Mike was a resident of Dedham, MA and Middleboro, MA. He was employed by the A. T. Scanzillo Co., Inc. General Contractors of Dedham, MA.

Michael was a member of the Sigma Delta Fraternity, he was also an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, and earned the prestigious “Order of the Arrow” Award.

He is survived by his brothers, Joseph Scanzillo of Scituate, MA, and Mark Scanzillo of Marshfield, MA; his sisters, Maryellen Scanzillo of Hanover, MA, and Donna Scanzillo of Harwich, MA; his nephews, Andrew Scanzillo and Christopher Scanzillo of Scituate, MA, and Nicholas Mark Scanzillo of Marshfield, MA; and his nieces, Michaela Scanzillo and Stephanie Scanzillo both of Marshfield, MA.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Nickerson Funeral Home, 87 Crowell Road, Chatham, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Holy Redeemer Church, 57 Highland Avenue, Chatham at 10:00 a.m followed by his burial in People’s Cemetery, Chatham, MA.
