Alphonso Dale "Phonso" Pitts 62 of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday September 11, 2021 in a local hospital.

Alphonso was preceded in death by his father, Charles Pitts; mother, Barbara Pitts; sister, Linda Gail Robinson; and brother, Charles Pitts Jr.

Alphonso is survived by his one son and daughter as well as grandchildren; sisters, Glenda (Samuel) Dunlap of Portland TN, Doloras Hudgins, Darlena Pitts, Cassandra Henderson, Deborah Hicks, Jacqueline Scott all of Chattanooga TN; brothers, Fredrick (Taryon) Pitts, Bobby Pitts all of Chattanooga TN; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

He will lie-in-state on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 11:00 am -12:30 pm at the Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel.

A Graveside Service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2116 Shepherd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

I’m ce ce his niece my uncle was so sweet very out spoken always in that smile was everything he did not play at all about any of his nieces and nephews the last time we was together we had just put my auntie to rest we cried together we laughed in listen to all his favorite songs sitting by the Radio in just catching up he remind me so much of my daddy who would have new it was his time this time he so strong a Fighter that’s for sure in he loved his family in could sing like crazy when we was kid’s that’s all he did we all danced that night together in was singing our hearts out he did his last dance with his family in you will be truly missed sincerely we love you uncle forever & always & our hearts.
