Betty Morgan Carson, 85, of Chattanooga passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, June 10, 2017. She was a kind, gentle soul who loved people and enjoyed helping others. Betty was a retired school teacher.
She is survived by her husband William H. Carson, son Morgan Smith, daughter-in-law Lisa Lowery-Smith, Mr. Carson’s daughter Becky Jones, granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Smith, step granddaughter and special caregiver Allison Lefor, several grandchildren and great grandchildren by marriage, longtime friend and caregiver Brenda Johnson.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Dr. Bob Segrest officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
