He was the son of the late Millard and Velva Mulligan and was a veteran of the US Army.
Bob was a former school teacher and later worked as a computer operator.
He was a member of the Standifer Gap Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Mulligan, of Chattanooga, TN, three children, Theda (Robert) Wells, of Gainesville, GA, Leah (Larry) Gangloff, of Slidell, LA, Kevin (Lea Anne) Mulligan, of Chattanooga, TN, four grandchildren, Matthew Wells, Caroline Wells, Samantha Mulligan, Alexandra Mulligan, step-grandson, Keith Gangloff, great granddaughter, Delilah Gangloff, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
