Bobby Roosevelt Smith Jr.

Bobby Roosevelt Smith Jr. passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on June 4, 1959, Bobby was a resident of Rossville, Georgia, but his stomping ground and roots was East Lake in Chattanooga, TN.

He was self employed as a Painter.

Bobby enjoyed woodworking, watching the races, washing his car, sitting on the porch; and he loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Kaydence.

Bobby was funny and outgoing and was always the life of the party! He was also talkative and a bit stubborn. He loved sweet tea and anything sweet.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Roosevelt Smith, Sr.; and his mother, Virginia Delaine Smith.

Those Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memory include his daughters, Elizabeth Smith Parker (Aaron) of Rossville, GA, and Rachel (Richard) Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Bobby Smith of Rossville, GA; sisters, Phyllis (Steve) Young of Flintstone, GA and Tammie (Terry) Rose of Cleveland, TN; brother, Jeff (Laura) Smith of Rossville, GA; spouse, Betty 'Sue' Shirley of Rossville, GA; grandsons, Jaiden and Desmond Smith; granddaughters, Madeline Smith and Kaydence Shirley of Chattanooga, TN.; great grandson, Khalil Smith; and great granddaughter, Khalyla Smith.

A Celebration of Life Service for Bobby will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 2:00 pm with Terry Rose officiating, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, located at 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN, 37404.
