

Brian Lee Daugherty, age 49, a longtime resident of Chattanooga died on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at a local health care facility. He graduated from Tyner High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Heirs of Truth Sunday School Class. He was a network administrator for Wilkins Research of Chattanooga.
He was the son of the late Erv Daugherty, and is survived by son, Devin Daugherty of Chattanooga; mother, Pauline Daugherty of Chattanooga; two sisters, Cheri (Tracy) Stakely of Columbia, South Carolina and Michelle (Kevin) Mathews of Ooltewah, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 3 PM at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Doug Plumlee and Dr. Bill Owens officiating. The Heirs of Truth Sunday School Class at Ridgedale Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Entombment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 4 PM to 7 PM and on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 2 PM to 3 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Devin Daugherty Education Scholarship Fund at any Tennessee Valley Credit Union Bank or mail to 7442 Commons Blvd., Chattanooga, TN, 37421.
