He worked at Dupont as a Machine Operator before retiring after 30 years of dedicated service.
Carl loved working in the garden, particularly tomato plants. He was always tinkering with things. He also liked making tools for working in the garden and for other projects.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Deloris; brothers, Ronnie, Hugh and Ed; and sister, Barbara.
Those Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory include his sons, Carl, Jr. (Sheri), and Steven (Elizabeth), both of Harrison, TN; sisters, Betty of Hixson, TN and Shirley of Atlanta, GA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A private service will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hixson, TN with Pastor Steve Granger of Hixson First Baptist Church officiating.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers to please make a donation in memory of Carl to the St.Jude Children's Research Hospital.
