He was retired from working in finance, and was a resident of Hixson, TN.
Dewey was also a longtime member of White Oak Baptist Church.
He was a hard and dedicated worker and provider for his family. Dewey dreamed of traveling; from the time his children were very young, he would come home from work and say, "let's hit the road", and off we would go to the beach or to visit relatives.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but we know he's now on his big adventure.
Dewey was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Sue Harris; parents, Willard E. Harris and Charleen Chadwick Harris; and brother, Thomas G. Harris.
Those leave behind to cherish his memory include his daughters, Kimberly (Darell) Patterson and Leslie A. Harris; son, Dewey Allen Harris, Jr.; grandchildren, Joshua Patterson and Jessica Patterson (Nick) Ibarra; great grandchildren, Luke Higgins and Camila Ibarra; brother, James Harris; grand dog, Bella Harris; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
