

Eula Gray retired from the Krystal Company after 30 years where she was the secretary for the City Manager. She was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was a 50 plus year member of Sunnyside Chapter #359 Order of the Eastern Star, a Past Matron and a Grand Representative to North Carolina. She loved to travel the world to visit her children and grandchildren, wherever they may be stationed. She always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger.
Eula Gray was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin McDaniel; daughter, Della Mae Clark; parents, Louis K. Harmon, Sr. and May Elizabeth (Mollie) Harmon; brothers, Dana and Louis K. Harmon, Jr.; sisters, Lizzie Harmon, Agnes Harmon and Mae Coffey; grandson, James Lewis; and great-grandson Scott Johnson.
She is survived by her son, Lawrence McDaniel; sisters, Vannah Tune, Ruby Corbett, Madge Estes and Billie Jean Minton; son-in-law, Haskell M. Clark; grandchildren, Penny Johnson, Jean Lewis, Gail (Tom) Goodman, Ann Durham, Larry (Connie) McDaniel, Michael McDaniel, Robert (Leslie) McDaniel, Dedrua McDaniel, Melissa (Sam) Oliver, and Chad McDaniel; great-grandchildren, Chris Johnson, Shannon (Jim) Edmondson, Amy (Josh) Stanley, Caitlin Goodman, Courtney, Kevin, Jacquelin, Brittany, and Melanie McDaniel, Cody Mizell, Austin Elrod, Brook, Donald, Abigail and Savannah Oliver; great-great-grandchildren, Londyn, Merrick, Layton, and Walker Edmondson.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Dr. Bill Owens and members of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sunnyside Chapter #359 officiating.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with Don Aldridge, Don Payne, Don Holman, Daryl Isham, W. C. Lane, and Lee Hicks serving as active pallbearers. The Friendship Sunday School Class of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Sunnyside Chapter #359 OES will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ridgedale Baptist Church, 1831 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421; and/or Hospice of Baton Rouge – Butterfly Unit, 4250 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70809.
Arrangements are by the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
