Mr. Jones is described as a quiet, reserved man who loved his family and was a committed, loyal, dedicated man who enjoyed all manners of sports.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Essex Spence and Fred Jones; brother, James E. Jones; sister, Norma Jean Price.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Wanda Lynn Jones; sons, James (Tina) and Kenyon Jones; daughters, Tamla Blackwell and Melissa Jones; brother, Spencer (Brenda) Jones; sisters, Joann Blake and Tardy Faye (Bernard) King; brothers and sister-in-law, David and Stephanie Newson, Monroe Price; grandchildren, Maurice and Tiffany Jones, Frederick and Stacie Blackwell, Elijah Faulkenberry; great grandchildren, Destynii and De’Vine Davis.
The family will receive friends 12:00pm, Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the funeral home.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Jerry Jones officiating with military honors provided by the US Navy. A private burial in the Chattanooga National Cemetery will be at a later date.
