George “Thad” Mason, 64, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2016. A lifelong resident of the East Brainerd area, he was the son of the late Robert and Evelyn Mason. He loved football and golf and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Connie Mason; daughter Katie (Phillip) Hamby; son Jonathan Mason; grandchildren, Eli and Halee Mason and Maggie and Jonah Hamby; sister, Vivian (David) Miller; two brothers, Bobby (Sandy) Mason and Steve Mason.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Chattanooga National Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist.
