John worked as an automotive mechanic for his working career.
John was preceded in death by his parents Joe Frank and Joann Burnette; brother Randy Burnette.
John is survived by his significant other Sabra Hatcher; four sons John Christopher Burnette, Michael Burnette, Bryan Burnette and Nicholas Burnette; grandchildren Gunner Burnette, Rylan Burnette and Piper Burnette; brother Gary Burnette; sister Patsy Burton all of Chattanooga.
