Three years ago, I was enjoying the pond scape that you helped me create. Now, three years later I am creating another pond that is even larger. It is hard work, and I know if you were here, you would be helping your Momma dig and create this pond scape in my new home. It has been nearly a year since you went to be with Jesus. I miss you greatly. You brought me great joy during your life here. I know you enjoy praising God today. I will meet you again.

Dear Justin: I did not have the pleasure of knowing you but, I did know your mom. We both went to the same school and graduated together in 1978. Your mom could make me smile and laugh, every day. I don't think I had ever seen her have a bad day! My point is this...you have a wonderful mom who loves you very much and she misses you every day. I know that your star is shining brightly up in the sky, and when she looks up she can see it. Smile down on her and tell her to wipe her tears...you love her also.

Good morning son. Yesterday I went through the old toy chest where you boys had left things you wanted to keep but not take with you when you moved out. It's been a while, so I washed up the Popples, Dino-Snores,  other stuffed animals, and Ty Beenie Babies. The little grey dog of yours, and Kevin's brown one... still looking good.
Know what else I found? Your Big Bird blanket! I laughed whenI pulled it out and held it up nearly 5 feet tall with a hole big enough that you can walk through it, lol. I was almost afraid to wash it, but I did, and it turned out fine. Still just as stretched out of shape from all the crazy things you did with it. You sure loved that blanket! I also found your Glo-Worm. You were such a loving little guy, and so snuggly. I miss you desperately, but am so thankful for all those wonderful memories. Maybe someday one of your nephews or nieces will enjoy playing with some of your treasured toys.

Today you should have been celebrating your 29th birthday. I have wept and struggled for the past week attempting to come to grips with the realization that you would not celebrate another birthday here on Earth. I then began to revisit your birth on that cold January afternoon in 1983. Being my first pregnancy, I was anxious about the pain and events sure to come before I could experience the joy of holding you in my arms. When I went for my scheduled appointment with Dr. Payne that afternoon, I was surprised to hear that I was in labor, and would deliver sometime that night. I thought I was just experiencing a great deal of back pain from having done alot of lifting the night before at work. I was so excited during the delivery, that my jaws chattered. God had granted a safe and uneventful delivery of a strong 6lb,8oz baby boy at 21in. long. You were destined to become a tall slender young man. You wanted to be wrapped snuggly, rocked, and sang to in order to go to sleep. You always loved being held and having your back rubbed.
When they told us you were jaundice, I didn't know what that meant, except that I was not able to have you in my room because you were to stay under the photo therapy unit with patches on your little eyes. I would stroll down to the nursery and burst into tears for fear that I would not get to take you home. I prayed then, that I would rather loose you on this Earth, than to have to grow up and not choose God. It would be better to give you back to the arms of Jesus right then, than for you to grow up without a saving knowledge of Christ, and be lost for eternity. Five days under therapy, and you were able to go home with a clean bill of health. I knew then, that regardless of how long God allowed you to remain on Earth, I would have you for eternity with Him.
Cooked a birthday meal for you with Freddie and Jennifer here. Clelebrated your birthday with my class of 17 2nd graders with brownies and iced tea. You may be gone from this life, but most certainly, not forgotten. I love you son.

It is beautiful camping weather today, and I know you would love to be building a fire. Yesterday was a hard day for me as I couldn't get you off my mind, as I thought about how much you would love to be camping and fishing this beautiful fall weekend. I love you son. Mom.

Justin i remember when we were building the building out back and you said you were the best liar ever and i would always say thats a lie. Every time i think of that i think of how much i miss you..

Enjoyed spending time with you this afternoon. I saw a picture of you in the snow this past Christmas, with your truck in the background, and it made me cry. Then I thanked God that you were able to have a White Christmas, even here in TN. I am trying to be thankful for the times we had you with us, instead of lamenting the time we will be without you, but it is a daily battle. You always bring me joy when you spend time with me. I love you. Mom.

How is Momma's little boy this morning? The mornings have been wonderful out here on the deck. we are heading to church in a few minutes. Your other family who loves and prayed for you. You know those memories will flood back in when I see a mother rubbing her little baby's back. You loved a back rub better than anyone else I know. Well, with the exception of my dad. Papa still has you beat there. I love you son, and I miss you every minute.

My sweet little boy, you had a huge outpouring of friends family and coworkers today sharing their love and appreciation for your influence in their life. I was so glad to see a direct answer to the prayers lifted up for you when you took the job at Bunge. Others prayed with me that God would  put people in your path that would lift you up and encourage you. When I heard your coworkers talk about eating lunch with you and talking about the Lord and sharing of scripture. I wanted to jump up and down and thank God for that direct answer to our prayers. You are such a joy to be arouond, and a great worker. Others expressed their experiences of your overwhelming respect and jumping in to do whatever the need. I love you so much. Thank you for being the wonderful little man that we trained you to be. You make me proud

To the family of Justin, my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I've only known Justin the short time he has worked for Bunge but having worked with him daily I know what a great loss his passing must be for you. All of us who knew him at Bunge will miss him. I pray the Lord gives you strength to carry on.

Dearest Libby, Dan, Kevin, and Jennifer----my thoughts and prayers are with you---I will not be able to come by as we are leaving town for a few days but will call in a few weeks and would love to come and see you.  I always loved teaching all 3 of the children and treasured your friendship.  May the Lord bless and keep you.

"I will remember Justin, being the class clown, having the smile that would light up a room, and the guy who had one of the biggest hearts on earth."  I only knew him for 4 years but those 4 years have been blessed with his laughter, smile, and great personnality. I'm so sorry for your loss, I pray that God gives you all strength, and peace in this hard time."

There is no words to describe how sorry we are for your loss.  Justin was such an awesome young man.  He would light up a room with his smile and so full of life.  We are a better person just from meeting him.  Praying for God to give you peace & comfort.
