Karen R. Moore, 85, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on March 22, 2026. She was born on December 13, 1940, in Cyril, Oklahoma, to the late Werner and Josephine Weiss. After graduating from Walker County High School in Jasper, Alabama, Karen built a life defined by being hard-working, adventurous, beloved, and loyal.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert Moore. She is survived by her son, Dane (Tammy) Moore; grandson, Dylan (Madison) Moore; and great-granddaughter, Hensley Moore.
She found joy in the simple and meaningful things—gardening, restoring cars, carpentry, camping, boating, and roller skating. Above all, she loved her family more than anything.
Karen was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church, where her faith and fellowship were an important part of her life.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, and again on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 26, 2026 in the chapel. Interment to follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
