Margaret Ruth Green

Margaret Green, 74 was born Wednesday, March 8, 1944 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to her father, the late McMillian Green and mother, the late Grace M. Hamilton-Montgomery. She departed this life on Saturday, July 14, 2018 to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Margaret was a member of Saint Elmo Baptist Church and previously employed by Koch’s Bakery. She was a graduate of Howard High School Class of 1962. Margaret was a woman who believed in living peacefully with others so when you think about her, remember her kindness, endearing smile, and laughter.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Charlene Green; brothers, Forrest Green and Kenneth Corker; grandparents, Fred (Sallie Hamilton) Bowles; uncle, Willie Hamilton; and aunt, Mary Pitts.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memories her devoted daughter, Bridgett Green; sister, Barbara Reynolds; and grandson, Farrell Williams, Jr., all of Chattanooga, TN, a host of other relatives and friends.

Margaret will lie in state in the chapel of Advantage Funeral Home from 10 am – 12 noon on Saturday, July, 21, 2018. A graveside service to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Officiant, Elder Keith Jones, Sr. The repast will be held at the funeral home immediately following the graveside.
