Mason Stoudemire

Mason Stoudemire, was born on April 3, 1947 in Chattanooga, TN to Benjamin Franklin Stoudemire and Mattie Lou Rhodes. Mason peacefully departed this life on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the age of 78 surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Larry Stoudemire and Frederick Stoudemire; two sisters, Janice Stoudemire and Ira Jean Stoudemire.

Mason attended his high school years at the Howard High School and later obtained his GED. Mason loved fishing and hanging out with his two most devoted friends, Maze and Chicken.

He leaves behind four daughters, April Stoudemire, Retonga (Chemere) Stoudemire, Retonya Stoudemire and Laura (Wesley) Hill; two sons, Mason Boyd and Chris (Lisa) Boyd; four grandsons, Malachi Boyd, Kobe and Dru Hill and Jaden Mynatt; three granddaughters, McKenzie and JaNyce Boyd and Jalyah Griffin; five brothers, Jesse (Yvonne) Stoudemire, Franklin Stoudemire, Edward Lee Stoudemire, David Stoudemire and Elijah Stoudemire; five sisters, Irene (JB) Williams, Connie Stoudemire, Sharon Stoudemire, Patricia Stoudemire and LaKeshia Burage; a host of nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle Mason dearly; other relatives and friends.

Mason will be truly missed by his family and friends and we all look forwarded to seeing him again in that great resurrection morning, when all who love God will live again eternally with the One who died to save us from our sins. Hal-le-lu-jah!

A Visitation for Mason will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Franklin Strickland Chapel, located at 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404,

The Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12:30 pm.
