

He ran heavy equipment and was a handyman.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was a 13B10 Cannon Crewman for almost 2 years. He earned an expert badge with M-16 Rifle Bar, expert badge with grenade bar, Army of occupation medal, Army service ribbon and overseas service ribbon.
He liked to spend time with friends and family and loved watching Alabama football. In his free time he also enjoyed shooting pool with friends and planting flowers.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Jimmie Sue Parker; father, Andrew Parker; brother-in-law, Steve Roden; nephew, Jay Early; and mother-in-law, Mary Jane Hartley.
Those Michael leaves behind to cherish his memories include his partner/wife of 30 years, Stacey Ann Hartley of Chattanooga, TN; stepdaughter, Jessica Thompson of Rossville, GA; grandson, Kaiden Sloan of Rossville, GA; son-in-law, Anthony Sloan of Rossville, GA; sisters-in-law, Dana (Jeff) Dunn of Chattanooga, TN, Diane (Ronnie) Cordell of Chattanooga, TN and Darlene Massingale of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and dear friends.
