I worked with Mickey when I was about 20 years old he taught me a lot about carpentry and I always thought of him as a friend of mine

Papaw you are very much missed by us all theres not a day that goes by that you are not on our minds or in our hearts. We all cherish the moments we got to spend with you and learned alot about life from you. You and grandma has always been our families rock and will continue to be we are all holding our heads up high and trying to make the right decisions in life. Mickey it has been one year and one month since you have been with our Heavenly Father... This past year has been so hard without you. Mark and Tammy has been a big help to me. We all Love and Miss You so much we will be together again and what wonderful day that will be to rejoice with Jesus and all the family give them all a big hug till we meet again Love You Forever and Ever. None of us expected to lose such an amazing so soon! It definitely hit us like a storm. I will never forget Uncle Mickey showing me how to play the guitar and all the pick'n and grin'n sessions we had as a family. Always full of joy and laughter, always knew how to brighten a room! If you ever needed something fixed.. You knew who to take it to. Uncle Mickey. I will forever miss this amazing man, I know he, MeMe, Francis, Lois, and Toogie are all up there having a great time watching over us. We will all meet again soon enough.

May these days get a little easier knowing that you can always look up at the sun and see a glimpse of Grandpa's face when you're having a rainy day.

There are no words to describe such an amazing man! Im extremely thankful to have known him.  Countless nights of goofing off and prank calling folks will always stay with me. Paw always knew how to make light of a situation and was so easy to talk to. I know he is watching and will always be with his family. I love you Granpa! You have raised a beautifully strong family and im proud to be a part of it!

I sure am going to miss my Paw but I will never forget how amazing he is. He taught me how to take joy in the very small things and cherish every moment. That I will do forever. I will always have plenty of stories to tell in any situation just from the grand adventures we took. I can't wait to the day I get to walk down that old dusty  trail again with my Grandpa!

We only hear of Mickey thur his grand daughter Mariah but thur her we came to love and now miss him as family longing now to meet him in heaven to thank him for his support of her.

I will never forget his generous heart.He was always doing for everyone including me! I can't count the times he came to my rescue whether it was in a broken down car on the side of the road or just to sit by my side during a difficult time. He was a fixer of things and people. I will never forget these things. Mickey will always be in my heart and memories. He was the best "pawpaw" ever. love you forever.

I want to thank everyone for coming to my Dads home coming.   he was loved by so many an he touch many hearts ILOVE MY DAD. HE will be missed.

I've only met you in person just a handful of times Uncle Mick,, but me, and the rest of our family from the west, know of your heart,,The times I did talk to you, I felt i have known you forever,,thanks to you our Dear UNCLE

Uncle Mizz...I already miss you so much. I could call you anytime, about anything, and you never let me down. I was about 8-9 and we all went to the lake on your boat. We got back and you pulled the boat behind the house. All the kids were playing around the boat and cutting up and then I saw you come running at us (the boat) with a hatchet! I had no idea who did what, but I started running before you had a chance to say "y'all get out of the way NOW". A copperhead had climbed in the boat and you saw it coming after us...you chopped that sucker to pieces!!!  I could go on and on but you know the most precious thing you ever did for me...we've talked about it many times. I love you Uncle Mickey.

Out of many memories at the slew, the one that stands out for me is me, Daddy & LeBron Russell. We had 2 boxes of worms & started catching shellcracker. We caught 126 in 45 min. Moma was supposed to blow the horn when she got there with hamburgers. We stayed as long as we could because we didn't want to leave. Went around & met her, ate & went back. They weren't biting as good, but oh well. We had enough! I'll cherish this memory forever.

From the family of Lewis Barbee (We lost Daddy on Father's Day 1993 ) He and Mickey were best of pals , Momma ( Dorothy Ray ) and all her kids , Donna , Deanie , Diane , Dora , Lynn , Debbie and Louie all send Special Prayers for strength and comfort at this time to Mickey's family and friends , We love you all !

I have a lot of Great Memories of Mr. Wilson. The entire family was a hugh part of my life as I was growing up.We all were very lucky to have Mickey as a part of our lives.
