Mikel McDearman Owen, age 62, of Bridgeport, Alabama passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024. He was born on March 21, 1961 in Orlando, Florida. Mikel spent 18 years as a security guard for Walden Security.
He is preceded in death by his father, John E. Owen; step-father, Bobby Joe Sharp; and favorite pets, Andy and Charlie.
Survivors include son, Mikel (Christy) Owen; daughter, Rachel (Hannah Wright) Owen; mother, Betty Sharp; and sister, Lisa (Ed) Springer.
Mikel was a die hard Vols fan and a best friend to anyone he knew.
