Patricia Ann Smith

She was born March 19, 1940 in Chattanooga to the late George Edward & Annie Ruth Hixon.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Ridge Ramblers Square Dance Club. She enjoyed gardening, hiking, and being outdoors. She also volunteered at the East Ridge Library.

Her husband John Robert Smith and brother, Bud Hixon preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Wade (Phoebe) Smith of Ringgold; Will (Moira) Smith of Georgetown; sister, Carolyn Maddox of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Hayden Smith, Caleb Smith, and Kate Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 4-8 PM and Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404 with Pastor Tony Leonard officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the East Ridge Library, 1517 Tombras Ave, East Ridge, TN 37412 and or Martin Boyd Christian Home, 6845 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
