Raymond Manuel Pimentel

Raymond Manuel Pimentel has gone peacefully to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday May 6, 2023 in his home at the age of 74.

He was born in Flushing, New York on September 19, 1948. He joined the Army at age 17 and was deployed for two tours in Vietnam. He received a Bronze Star Medal for his service. He went to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Institute in Daytona Beach, FL and received his pilot's license. He went to Colorado Aeronautical Institute and received his airframe and power plant mechanic's license. In his later years, he was a residential and commercial builder and inspector. He retired at the age of 71 in 2019. His hobbies include traveling with family and friends to Ormond Beach, FL, firearms, watching action movies and listening to classical music, fixing anything and everything for others, working on cars and planes, and spending time with his beloved wife and daughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Elizabeth Pimentel; his brother-in-law, Ricky Noverola; aunts, Ruth and Marian; cousin, Arlene; as well as other family members.

He is survived by Carolyn, his loving wife of 48 years; his daughter, Courtney, his pride and joy; his sister, Gaye and his brother-in-law, Edwin; his sister, Lisa; his nieces, Sabrina and Jessica; his nephews, Eddie, Nathan, and Ritchie; his great nieces, Braylin, Alise, and Elyn; his great nephews, Jace and Maddox; and close friends, Barbara and Bill Agee, Doreen and Phil Wirchansky, Beth Stephens, Beverly Winters; Mary, Matt, Preston, and Ellie Kate Woodward, Sarah Veal, Ashley Vukov, and Ginny and Greg Rhinehart.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on May 19, 2023 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors.
