He was born on September 11, 1932 in Chattanooga to the late Robert McEwen Parker Sr. & Jessie Louise Parker. His wife, Julia Jane Parker preceded him in death. Mack honorably served in the United States Air Force.
He was a long-time active member of Woodland Park Baptist Church. Mack’s desire and commitment to Jesus led him to serve in many capacities at his beloved church. His genuine love for others and his desire to give both of his time and of his resources was a trademark of his life. He was cherished by so many.
He faithfully served on the board of directors for Child Evangelism Fellowship of Greater Chattanooga for over 20 years, among many other Christian organizations and ministries.
Mack was known for his generous hospitality. He and his wife, Julia welcomed anyone and everyone into their home for many gatherings where they made each one feel like family. He always looked forward to hosting numerous Christmas events celebrating Christ’s birth.
Survivors include daughters, Jane Parker and Julie (Chad) Clark; grandchildren, Jade (Alex) Yarbrough, Jace Brannon, Bryce Clark, Megan Clark and Jordan Clark; and two great-grandchildren, Parker and Rowan Yarbrough.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Woodland Park Baptist Church (6735 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421). Memorial services will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Brian Kinlaw officiating.
