Shirley Mae Combs

She retired after faithfully serving 25 years with the East Ridge School Patrol 1992 and was a member of Rockpoint Church in Fort Oglethorpe, GA.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Combs; parents, Elsbert S. Lingerfelt and Pearl F. Lingerfelt; brothers, Hugh Lingerfelt and Frank Lingerfelt; and sister, Alma Lingerfelt.

Those Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memories include daughters, Sandra (Tony) Schefano of Harrison, TN, Patricia Sifritt of Henderson, NV, Faye Dean of Harrison, TN, Mary Cothran of Chattanooga, TN and Linda Birchfield of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, Stacy Hacker, Carl R. Duff, Brian Cothran, Angela Cothran, Ginnie Ann Sifritt, Patrick Reed and Arran Sifritt; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Visitation for Shirley will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.

A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1:30 pm with Pastor Keith Jones officiating,

Interment will follow at Tyner Cemetery, 6620 Bonny Oaks Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
