Shirley Christine Meacham

She was the daughter of the late Harold Theodore and Anna R. Nonnon and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Niles Corley Meacham.

A native of Reading, PA, she was employed with American Casualty Co., where she met her husband. She worked as a Claim Adjuster for 16 years. She retired to be a stay at home mother. She and her husband were faithful members of Grace Lutheran Church, where they were married in 1961. They moved in 1993 to reside in Stuart, FL., to be closer to their son, Todd. They moved to Chattanooga in 2005 to be closer to Niles’ family.

Survivors include her son, Todd Andrew Meacham, of Palm Beach Shores, FL, two sisters, Mary Ann Cunnus, Wyomissing, PA, Patricia (Park) Boone, of Blessburg, PA, two brothers, Ernest F. Nonnon, Robert (Miriam) Nonnon, both of Reading, PA, and sisters-in-law, Charlotte (Byerly) Morgan , Dee Dee (David Lee) Meadows and Carol Meacham, all of Chattanooga, TN.

The family will receive friends at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, from 1 to 2 p.m.

A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m., Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bill Owens officiating and being assisted by her nephew, Ethan Albright.
