Stephan Daniel Vandergriff, known to his loved ones as Daniel, was born on April 22, 1986, and passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 38. A cherished father, son, brother, and friend, Daniel’s life was marked by his unwavering devotion to his family, his strength, and his kindness.
Daniel’s most profound love was for his daughter, Daylee Vandergriff. His pride in her was immeasurable. Daniel was a dedicated father who poured his heart into raising Daylee, always striving to be her protector, teacher, and biggest supporter. He celebrated every moment with her, and his love for her was a constant presence in his life. Daylee was his greatest joy, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will last a lifetime.
Daniel also shared a deep, unbreakable bond with his parents. His mother, Donna McGhee Vandergriff, was his heart, and he was her "mama's boy" through and through. From childhood to adulthood, Daniel always turned to his mother for comfort and support, and he never hesitated to show her how much he loved her. Donna was his foundation, and their relationship was one of mutual love and respect.
Daniel’s relationship with his father, Keith Vandergriff, was one of admiration and deep connection. Keith was not just his father but a friend and role model. Daniel looked up to Keith, always seeking his wisdom and guidance, and shared countless moments of laughter and quiet understanding with him. The bond they shared was one of strength and loyalty, and Keith was always a source of support in Daniel's life.
Daniel’s siblings—brothers Charlie and David Vandergriff, and sisters Kelli Burdine. and Halee Blevins—were a central part of his life. He was the kind of brother who would drop everything to help, whether it was fixing something, offering advice, or simply being there when they needed him. The love he shared with his family was unconditional, and they will forever cherish the memories of his selflessness, humor, and kindness.
Daniel’s love for the outdoors, including camping, hunting, and caring for his roosters and chickens, was another facet of his vibrant spirit. He lived his life with a sense of adventure, always eager to explore the world around him. His warmth, his laughter, and his ability to brighten any room will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
His family invites all who knew and loved him to join in celebrating his life.
Rest in peace, Daniel. You will forever be missed, and your love and memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know you.
