He was born March 28, 1975 in Chattanooga. Steven was a 1993 graduate of Ooltewah High School and received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree from the University of Chattanooga in 1997.
He was formerly employed with Open Arms Care with thirteen years of service.
He was of the Methodist Faith.
His brother, Alex Johnston, grandparents, Corley & Margaret Young, Ben F. Johnston and Billie Slaughter, and uncle Corley Young, Jr. preceded him in death.
Survivors include his parents, Ben & Midgie Johnston; his wife of 19 years, Nikki Johnston; sons; two sons, Lochlyn Johnston and Ronan Johnston both of Chattanooga; two sisters, Paige Johnston of Chattanooga and Kristen Colvard-Bryant of Chattanooga; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Pastor Debbie Stokes officiating.
