Mrs. Virginia Elizabeth Williams

Virginia Elizabeth Williams, age 88, of Ringgold, Georgia, previously of Highlands, North Carolina, passed away Friday, June 03, 2016 at her home. She was born March 9, 1928 in Douglas, Georgia to the late James & Bertha Harrell.

She was a member of Ringgold First Baptist Church and the Deborah/T.E.L. Sunday School Class.

Her husband, of 62 years, Dr. Louis Andrew Williams, brothers, Henry Harrell, Jack Harrell, and James “Sally” Laura Harrel, and sisters, Mary Jeanette Dorminy and Louise Brown preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Chuck Williams; daughters, Pam (Williams) and Bill Guinn and Millie (Williams) and Glenn Cheek all of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Heath Williams of Chattanooga, TN, Kristin (Williams) and Randy Overton of Chickamauga, GA, Brad and Lizziy Cheek, of Ooltewah, TN, Lezlie (Cheek) and Matt Fry of Smyrna, TN, Elizabeth (Cheek) and Jamie Ference of Black Mountain, NC, Alexandrea Cheek of Ringgold, GA, Sara Webb of Chattanooga, Trevor Guinn, Trent and Holly Guinn, Tracey Guinn Walker, all of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; and beloved pet Bebe.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. Eric Kennedy officiating.

Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
