

Born May 17, 1925 in Cleveland (Little Italy), he and his family resided in Chesterland for many years. Anthony devoted his life to guiding, coaching and educating kids. He was a teacher, counselor, coach, and Athletic Director with the South Euclid-Lyndhurst City Schools for 40 years, and after retirement worked with the West Geauga Schools. Along with coaching he was a considered a very good athlete in his own right. Anthony was a WWII U.S. Navy Hero. He was also an active member of several clubs originating from the Little Italy neighborhood. Anthony is survived by his daughters Maria (Joe) Consolo and Laura Flesher; son John (Louise); grandchildren Jerry, Anthony, Katy, Jodi, Kelly, John, and Anthony; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Anne (nee Gamiere); daughter Barbara Masseria; granddaughter Karla Catalioto; parents Tinera Rose (nee Alberga) and Gaetano Catalioto, who were both Sicilian immigrants; brother Frank; sisters Matilda “Tillie” LoPresti and Antoinette “Netta” Catalioto; and his brother Joey and sister Antoinette that died as children. Private Services and Interment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
