Arlea M. Mackey Burford

Born Nov. 18, 1943, in Conneaut, she had lived in Chester Township before moving to Newbury Township past 34 years ago.

Arlea was a member of Mayfield Church, and an active member of the Geauga YMCA. She enjoyed flower arranging and gardening, was an avid photographer and enjoyed taking photos of nature. Arlea especially loved traveling to Columbus to visit her grandchildren, who brought her so much joy.

Arlea was formerly employed as a medical secretary at the Cleveland Clinic, and later worked at Lowe's Greenhouse in Bainbridge Township.

Survivors are her husband, Guy L.; daughter, Chris (Matt) Fortney; son, Craig (Cecilia); grandchildren, Ava and Ayden Fortney, Cathy, J.D., and City Ramage and Gracie Burford; and brother, Dale Mackey.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Mayfield Church, 7747 Mayfield Road, Chester Township. (Please meet at church.) Pastor Jan Fillmore will officiate. Interment will be in Munn Cemetery in Newbury Township.
