Carl "Ted" Kraft

Ted dedicated much of his professional life to innovation and problem-solving through his work in Research and Development at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 34 years. His contributions spanned many years before his retirement two decades ago.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Ted carried his commitment to service into civilian life. He spent over 20 years volunteering at Akron City Hospital, giving his time and compassion to those in need.

Ted had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing. He was an active member of the Goodyear Boating and Yachting Association, where he once held the role of Commodore.

He is survived by his son, Robert Kraft (Jeannie Shaw); daughter, Jean (Lou) Gyongyosi; grandchildren, Jennifer (Doug) Kraft Drerup, Andrew (Todd) Esola-Gyongyosi, and Nikki (Jon) Riemer; great-grandchildren, Robbie and Drew Drerup, and Jaxson Riemer; and special friend, Joyce Traster. Ted was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Donna Kraft.
