
Born June 23, 1928 in Cleveland, he was a Chesterland resident for 45 years. Charles was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and was a former Commodore and member of the West Channel Yacht Club in Eastlake. He is survived by his wife Edith M. (nee Phillips); daughters Anita Mary Schulte and Lisa M. (Anthony) Hartman; grandchildren Nicole Marie Mattice (nee Schulte), Amanda Lindgren Yarbrough (nee Schulte), and Maria Renee Schulte; step-grandchildren Angela (Ryan) Fuller and Dylan Fuller; great-grandchildren Tyler Curtis Schulte, King Donald Mattice, Jayden Renee Schulte, Riley Ann Schulte, Dominic Martin, Kellan Yarbrough, and Kayson Yarbrough; and siblings Maggie and Gregg. He is preceded in death by his son-in-law Curtis C. Schulte; great-grandson Blake Edward Schulte; and siblings James Snider and Mary Grootefoed. Family and friends may call at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 9:30 – 11:00 am, followed by Committal Prayers and Interment at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
